Elise's Austen/Gender Roles Thesis
Jane Austen, the acclaimed literary and poetic genius, became widely respected for her witty and pointed critique of gender roles in the 18th and 19th century. However, despite her sharp tongue, her observations in Pride and Prejudice do not necessarily reflect the actual role of women during her time.

ReplyDeletethis is quite intriguing, as I always thought I could learn about Jane Austen's time period by reading her stuff.
I'm wondering if you can pack more into your thesis, maybe either the implications or causes of it. Some answer or suggestion of "why" or "what does this mean."
Eventhough I disagree with you your thesis made me intrigued as to how you were going to back up your stand point.
